Reciprocating control system of an existing grinder machine
Task: The project involves building a drive and control system for a reciprocating abrasive unit, as well as developing project electrical documentation, an electrical panel, applied software, commissioning work, and creating an instruction manual for setup and operation.
Implementation: A new electrical servo system has been added, so that the existing signals, which previously controlled the hydraulic valves for axial movement of the abrasive, now start and stop the movement in the corresponding direction of the electrical servo system. The role of the time relay in the feed control system is taken over by the servo system controller, and the existing sensor for the abrasive's rearmost position, which was previously only used to shut down the system, has been redirected to serve as a zero-point sensor. To achieve the optimal price-to-time ratio, the existing electrical equipment and the machine's relay-contactor circuit have been retained, without completely replacing them. The control of the pressure force of the abrasive in the spring during grinding is done through its dependence on the motor current (without installing additional sensors). Old control panels from decommissioned machines have been repurposed as hardware for the control desk.
For the implementation of the project, components from Xinje Electronic, which PL Control Ltd successfully represents on the market, as well as from Schneider Electric, our trusted partner, were used:
